How do I start working out at CrossFit Canmore?
Come to the gym, call 403 679 1033 or email to schedule your initial free introductory workout. We will discuss your current fitness, goals and background.
What will I learn in the CrossFit Boot Camp?
If you’ve never done CrossFit, it gives us a chance to show you the core exercises and increase the intensity gradually with other beginners. If you’ve done CrossFit before, we will make sure that you’re performing the movements properly and efficiently.
What do I get when I sign up for CrossFit Boot Camp?
12 Boot Camp Classes – a progressive introduction to CrossFit methods and movements. Each session builds on the previous and by the end you know the basics of CrossFit. You can then begin doing the Workout of the Day (WOD).
When is the next CrossFit Boot Camp?
We usually offer the intro program monthly, based on demand. If you have a group of 3 or more people, let us know and we can set up a CrossFit Boot Camp for you.
Do you yell like drill sergeants?
Definitely not.
What if I am really out of shape?
Your attitude is key. Your determination to change and improve is key. If you think you can, we know you can.
What happens if I can’t do a certain exercise?
There is ALWAYS a way to modify an exercise so that you will be challenged and progress.
Yes. We limit our class size to 10 people in order to give you good, personal coaching.
Can I come to different class times on different days?
Yes. Reserve a spot for whichever classes you are able to attend.
What do I do if a class is full and/or there is a waitlist?
If a class is full, please add your name to the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist and someone cancels their reservation, we will let you know by email that you have a spot in the particular class. The waitlist also allows us to see if we need to add more classes.
What is the cancellation policy for classes?
You can use the reservation system to cancel your reservation up to 24hrs before a class. Within 24hrs, please call or email us to let us know. Please be considerate.
Where should I park?
We have dedicated spots in front of our unit. Additional parking is available in clearly labeled visitor spots and on Bow Meadows Crescent.
Please do not park in Mr. Philips parking spots (i.e. the one clearly labelled “Reserved 24hrs” and the bay door next to it)
Can I put my pass on hold if I go away?
Passes will only be put on hold if you let us know before you go away.
You must be away more than 2 weeks on a 1 month pass or 1 month on a 6 month pass or year pass.

Should I continue training if I am pregnant?
Maybe. If you are already a CrossFit Canmore athlete, as long as your doctor has not recommended that you stop exercising, we will modify the workouts for you. Come to workouts as long as it feels good to do so.
If you are not currently attending CrossFit Canmore, we recommend that you join us after your baby is born in our CrossFit Mums class.
